They are very easy to lift with the lift cord that comes at the side. They can be completely lifted up to the top of the window sill if you want to have complete view of outside. You can do this in the morning and once it starts to get dark it would be time to lower them.

Because mini blinds need a lot of threads and string to elevate they should really be handled carefully. Never pull the lift cord too hard. With mistreatment these blinds can get stuck or jammed and hard to repair. The two things to decide on are whether you need aluminum or vinyl and them you can decide on the width of the louver.
